Prof. Isaac Rutenberg is an Intellectual Property Advisor at CIFOR-ICRAF, a global institution seeking a more equitable world of inclusive green economies supported by biodiverse landscapes. He is also an Associate Professor of ICT Policy and Innovation at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, where he founded the Center for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT). Prof. Rutenberg taught Air and Space Law at Strathmore Law School for five years, and closely follows innovation in the space industry. His academic research covers data governance, artificial intelligence, and contextualized innovation. He is registered to practice law in California and holds a JD (graduate degree in law) as well as a PhD in chemistry.
