Ms Ouattara Marie-Antoinette is the Director of Cartography and Geographic Information Systems in the General Directorate of Regional and Local Planning and Development of the Ministry of Planning and Development in Côte d’Ivoire. She also teaches Cartography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the use of GIS software.
She was Head of the Department between 2001 and 2004, then Deputy Director of Cartography between 2004 and 2016 at the National Institute of Statistics, where she was awarded a prize for excellence. Her department is currently setting up a Geographic Information System for Territorial Planning and Development (SIGADT). The realization of the SIGADT, a decision-making tool, is part of the major objectives set by Prime Minister Patrick ACHI in the roadmap for the year 2023.
