Laurent d’Ersu has been the Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Côte d’Ivoire since 2018. He previously held several positions at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Assistant Deputy Director for West Africa, Africa Advisor to the Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, and Africa Analyst at the Policy Planning Staff. Before that, he was a journalist, mainly for the French newspapers Le Monde and La Croix. He holds degrees from Paris-Sorbonne University and Strasbourg University and attended the French Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence (IHEDN).
