Etim Offiong is a Scientific Officer with the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E), where he heads the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) division. He is currently undertaking a PhD programme in Systems Engineering at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
Etim co-founded the African Space Leadership Institute (ASLI) with the mission to develop Africa’s capabilities and capacity in space policy, strategy, law, governance and leadership. He oversees the operations and coordinates the training programmes organised by the Institute. He is also the host of ‘Policy Talks,’ a conversation series with African and global space leaders, where they discuss local and international space-related issues and how they impact Africa.
