Dr Janvier Fotsing holds a PhD in Remote Sensing and Radar Option from the University of Yaoundé I. He also has a PhD in Education Sciences, Training Engineering Option from the University of CY Cergy Paris Université, Paris. He is the Coordinator of the professional master’s program in telecommunications (MASTEL) and the Pedagogical Manager of the Space Telecommunications module at the University of Yaounde.
He teaches several courses on satellite communications, digital processing of satellite images, and norms and standards in telecommunications. In addition, he is a teacher attached to the University of Buea and Executive Coordinator of Online Programmes at the National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaoundé (NASEY) of the University of Yaoundé I.
As a researcher, Dr Fotsing is interested in integrating new technologies in educational science for engineers, works in the field of processing and analysing remotely sensed radar images, applications ranging from the design of space maps, cryptosystems, and the secure transport of medical images in telemedicine environments in the context of 4G+ mobile networks.
Dr Fotsing has reviewed several international journals and is an elected member of the scientific council of the AUF. He is also a pedagogical referent in the university section of UNESCO.
