Dr Gayane Faye is the coordinator of the Senegalese space program SENSAT, which is based at the Ministry of Height Education Research and Innovation of Senegal. SENSAT developed Senegal’s first satellite, GAINDESAT-1A.
Since 2015, Dr FAYE is a lecturer-researcher and Director of the Applied Remote Sensing Laboratory (Laboratoire de Télédétection Appliquée-LTA) at Cheikh Anta DIOP University. He has conducted several research projects on themes centred around Earth observation data. He is also the President of the GMES & Africa Academia Network
