Catherine Ghyoot is the International Aid / Cooperation Officer for Science, Technology and Innovation in the Unit “Regional and Multi-Country Programmes for Africa” at the DG for International Partnerships in the European Commission in Brussels. She joined the European Commission in 2008 and was in charge of regional climate change and renewable energy programmes with Latin America. Afterwards, she joined the Africa Directorate in 2019 to be in charge of Science, Technology and Innovation for regional and multi-country programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa. Catherine is a bio-engineer by training from the University UCLouvain, Belgium, and she was an environmental expert in various international and private organisations before joining the European Commission.
