Arlande Joerger is a Marketing and Distribution engineer trained at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Strasbourg, France. A member of a network of actors committed to the Corporate Social Responsibility Sustainable Initiative, she has spent the last six years with companies committed to thinking and building more sustainable models.
Arlande is the founder of EwoSmart, a startup aimed at accelerating the resilience of territories and slowing down climate change. The company offers public and private players a digital decision-making platform based on AI and spatial imagery analysis to enable them to monitor and ensure the development of their plant heritage. She leads the team proposing diagnoses and recommendations for the vegetation development of territories concerning identifying heat islands and green and blue belts in Benin Republic. Furthermore, Ms Joerger co-founded CSR Think Tank, which caters to African and European companies linked to Africa, focusing on creating sustainable bridges between European and African companies committed to responsible economic models.
In 2020, Arlande was selected as one of the 12 laureates of the first edition of the women’s leadership programme supported by the Grand Est Region: Elles Osent en Grand Est and was one of the 100 French startup leaders chosen by the Orange Group to join the 3rd edition of the #FemmesEntrepreneuse. In addition, Arlande was awarded the title of “Francophone Women 2022” by the International Association of Francophone Mayors. She has been involved in several policy recommendation initiatives for innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development, climate change, and new partnerships between Africa and France.
